Our baby boy is one week old!
It's been extra nice for me because Jason stayed home with us and Isabel enjoyed a lot of daddy time with him taking her out to give me some alone time with our newest member of our family and to allow Miss Isabel not to get too stir crazy either.
It was definitely all about nursing, snuggling, napping and cuddling and then repeating the pattern for me and Owen.
In regards to night time and sleeping, as expected the first night in the hospital and the first night at home have so far been the hardest. His first night at home I felt like he was attached to my breast from 8:30pm until 3am just suckling here and there but more than anything pacifying a little as well. After that it seems he has developed a nice little routine where he will nurse every 2 - 2 1/2 hours and then fall back asleep without an issue. This little pattern I don't mind so much ... sure my sleep is very broken but at least I get a little rest in between!
