Tonight Jason is one proud dad of.... his capsicum!
Yep after months of frustration dealing with a hungry dog eating them before they were ready to dealing with bugs and not enough water he got two great looking yellow capsicum tonight.
He even used his handyman skills and built a great looking wooden fence around his little veggie patch to keep those curious dogs away - mum is witness to his awesome skill!
While mum was here we were lucky to witness both dogs trying so hard to get in and spoil the fun but alas..... they were not successful and instead we were able to enjoy some great tasting yellow capsicum in our salad with tonight's meal!
Jason's face when he brought them in tonight was priceless!
It was great to see especially after the disappointment he faced when he picked up the mess Penny left when she ate the first few a few months ago.
I just had to share this story - it was so cute!
The two capsicums are pictured with our basil that is growing in abundance right now... we don't know what to do with so much basil.
We have made A LOT of pesto!
